Spinach and Apple Oatmeal Waffles

Here is an excellent option for a healthy breakfast! These waffles are made from a mix of spinach, oats, and Greek yogurt. There’s no flour in the mix, and they can be topped with sweet and salty ingredients. Oatmeal itself can help you lose weight because it will help you feel full longer than other foods. The fiber content of oatmeal can also aid the digestive system.

  • Add the baby spinach in a blender. Add the steel cut oats, salt, egg, seasonings and Greek yogurt. Blend everything until smooth.

  • Start adding some water Stir the batter well. At this point the batter should be thin enough to *just* run off the spatula, but no thinner. If it doesn’t add some more water.
  • Set up your waffle maker and drizzle it with vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray
  • Pour the mixture with a ladle until you reach the desired consistency. Cook the waffles for 6 minutes (or according to the instructions on the waffle iron).
  • If your waffles are too moist, put them in the oven to dry out a little

  • Serve with your favorite toppings for breakfast or dinner.
